Here’s a fun recipe kids of all ages can make for mom this Sunday.

Tropical Fruit Salad Skewer, Mascarpone Crèma (serves 8)
16 cantaloupe balls
8 watermelon balls
8 wedges kiwi fruit
8 bamboo skewers
Mascarpone crèma (recipe follows)
• Using 1 skewer, thread in the following order, 1 cantaloupe ball, 1 watermelon ball, 1 cantaloupe ball, and 1 kiwi wedge. Repeat with remaining fruit/skewer. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
•Meanwhile, make crèma (recipe follows).
1 cup room temperature mascarpone cheese
2 tablespoons heavy (35%mf) cream
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• Whisk together all ingredients, pour into a squirt bottle and refrigerate until ready to use. Use within 2 weeks.
• Place a fruit skewer on each of 8 chilled dessert plates, drizzle lightly with crèma and serve immediately.
